The Journey of Gawds Wear

Sumit Patil, the visionary behind Gawds Wear, started his journey with DivyaChitra, a brand that created posters and frames depicting gods and warriors. However, Sumit noticed a growing disconnect between the younger generation and the rich heritage of Indian culture. He realised that many young people were drawn to Western culture because it looked “cool,” and weren’t aware of the depth and power of Indian mythology.

Driven by the desire to bridge this cultural gap, Sumit set out to create something unique – a brand that not only showcases cool designs but also educates the youth about India’s glorious past. And so, Gawds Wear was born. Through bold, contemporary designs inspired by ancient myths, Sumit’s goal is to reintroduce the younger generation to the epic stories of gods and heroes, helping them connect with the rich cultural heritage of India.
